North Kalgurli (1912) Ltd., West Australia, reports that during the month of November 11,645 net tous was _treated, 9273 tons, from stoping and 2372 tous from development. Revenue from ore treated, including estimated gold premium was £40,705. Expenditure: Mining and treatment (including cost of excess ore broken in stopes during the month), £16,003. Mount Lyell Production

The Mount Lyell Mining-and Railway Co.. Ltd. has issued the following progress report for the fortnight ended December 20 :—North Lyell: Tons extracted 2594. Crown Lvell: Tons extracted 1439. West Lyell: Tons extracted 41,002. New ore transfer pass', construction work in progress. Lyell Comstock : Tons extracted 3388 No. 10 level. No. 2 mullock pass rise extended 6ft. to 96ft. through ore (completed) ; main shaft sunk 6ft. to 1 10 ft. (103 ft. below No. 10 level) through conglomerate and porphyry. Reduction works: Furnace in blast full period; 2214 tons refinery anodes made for current year. Concentrator: Mill operated 336 hours and treated 47.944 tons ore. producing 1981. tons concentrates. Copper refinery: Tank House in operation throughout fortnight. 530 tons cathode copper being produced for period. Total for current year 2799 tons.
