Forster And McCready In the Wellington Town Hall tonight Frank Forster,, the visiting South African wrestler, will make an attempt to take the British Empire professional heavyweight crown from Earl McCready, the popular Canadian. Many of McCready’s battles on the way to becoming champion were fought in New Zealand and they rank with the epic mat contests in the history of sport in this country. Jack orsgren, Blomfield, Tiger Duala, Jaget Singh, George Walker and others have tried to put McCready down in defeat, but al lhave failed, and now Forster gets his chanee. The South African has had a sufficiently extensive experience to make him a worthy challenger. Heavyweight amateur champion of his country for several years, ho was scut to the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 and lie has been wrestling as a professional for about five years. He has had experience in Europe as well as in his own country. Attractive preliminaries, beginning at 8 o’clock will support the main bout. These will include a fiveround professional bout between B. Monastic and C. Croskery, two former Wellington amateurs.
