4 Disappointing Wrestling In Auckland By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 30. A disappointing display was giveu by “King Kong” Cox and Paul Jones in a professional heavyweight wrestling contest staged at the Town Hall on Saturday night. Jones took a fall with a figure-four hook body scissors in the fourth round and the referee brought the proceedings to a close early in the seventh when he awarded a penalty fall against Cox for persistent use of a strangle hold. BLOMFIELD v. DONOVAN By Telegraph—Press Association. GREYMOUTH. July 30. Lofty Blomfield beat Jack Donovan before a capacity house last night in a rough, spectacular bout. Donovan secured a body press after a series of dumps in the third round, Blomfield equalizing with an octopus clamp in the sixth. In the seventh Donovan applied a fullnelson, Blomfield dragging him to a corner and throwing himself back with force from the ropes to pin Donovan. Before a good attendance in the Theatre Royal, Westport, on Saturday night, Paul Boesch (IGst. 61b.) drew with Joe Woods (15st. 51b.), each man gaining one fall.
