Temperatures Still Low In Southern Hawke’s Bay Dominion Special Service DANNEVIRKE, July 29. Following mi extremely cold spell, with freezing conditions, Southern Hawke’s Bay was swept by a westerly gale last night and today. ' Conditions were very cold, with driving rain. Many farmers are expressing anxiety about stock. The position may become serious if there is not an easing of temperatures very shortly. Scattered showers of hail fell this afternoon after a lessening of the wind velocity. This evening temperatures were still low, though the freezing conditions of the previous nights were absent.
