Hawke’s Bay-Poverty Bay Championship By Telegraph—Press Association. HASTINGS, July 29. Leading the field from the start, H. E. Taylor won by 400 yards the Hawke's Bay-Poverty Buy harrier championship at Havelock North today. The weather was ideal, though the 10,000-metre course was inclined to be slow. A. Taylor (Hastings) a brother of the winner, was second, and J. Mclntyre (Dannevirke) third. The teams’ race was won by the llastIngß club with 14 points; Napier, 33 points, were second, and Dannevirke. 40 pointe, third.
