Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Armour's Afternoon Party
A delightful party which took the form of a farewell afternoon tea was given by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Armour at their home, Wellington College, yesterday, in honour of Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Mcllraith. Dr. Mcllraith has just retired from the position of chief inspector of primary schools and with Mrs. Mcllraith will leave on Monday for Auckland, where they will live. Many representatives of the educational sphere in Wellington were present to farewell the guests of honour at this informal gathering. Spring flowers and Iceland poppies decorated the reception rooms, and tea was served to the guests gathered in the drawing and dining-rooms. Mr. and Mrs. Armour received their guests, Mrs. Armour wearing a simply cut hostess frock of delft blue velvet. Miss Margaret Armour and Miss Alison Armour assisted their parents.
