DRINKING IN EWART HOSPITAL
Use Of Male Attendants Suggested A further report about cases of drinking in Ewart Hospital had been received, said the superintendent of the Wellington Public Hospital, Dr. A. R. Thorn, in a report to the hospital board last night. One man had created so much trouble that be had to be moved to Seddon Ward. Another had been accused of adopting a threatening attitude to a fellow patient, and that al.?o required the attendance of a house surgeon. Neither of those men were amenable to ordinary discipline find it appeared as if the board would have to establish a small section of five or six beds where such cases could be attended by male attendants.
