MONDAY’S WRESTLING

Frank Forster, who will meet Earl McCready in a challenge bout for the British Empire wrestling title in the Town Hall, Wellington, next Monday night, is proving himself one of the more popular wrestlers brought to New Zealand. For his bout in Christchurch last Wednesday night the theatre was booked out in advance, and large attendances have also been the order at his other bouts, hew wrestlers have created a more favourable impression on their first appearance than did Forster when he opened his present tour in Wellington, and his bid tor the title is being waited with the greatest interest. About 6ft. 2in. tall and weighing 17st., his wrestling displays perfect balance and nimbleness of . foot, as well as strength and endurance. Forster keeps coming in the whole time, takes whatever rebuffs are his without shrinking, and is always on the look-out for a new line of attack. It will mean a lot to Forster's future career if he can take the Dominion umon’s British Empire championsmp cup back to 6outh Airica with him. Even if he tails to achieve that ambition, he intends to make a strong enort to perform more effectively against McCready than his fel-low-countryman, Joliannes van der Walt. In addition to two bouts under Olympic rules, the preliminaries will include a five-round proiessional bout between two Wellington professionals.
