GOLFERS GO DANCING
Karori Club's Annual Ball The number of golf club dances and balls held recently in Wellington has given the golfing fraternity an excuse for a round of social activities, but it is noticeable that most of them are held during the week, and not on a night which might impair players’ ability for early rising and an early game the next day. The Karori Golf Club held its annual ball last night with marked success. Representatives from many other clubs were present, and it was again proved that members can throw themselves into social activities with an enthusiasm equal to all they possess for the game of golf. The committee which organized the dance consisted of Mrs. W. McCormick, Misses Daisy Anderson, Edna Chote, Messrs. Eric Evan-Young, Charles Acheson, Digby Cooper, and Alan Fulton. Among the dancers were the president and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Simmis, and Mr. and Mrs. McGavin, Mr. and Mrs. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. H. Lynch, Mr. and Mrs. A.
