Miss M. Rae and Miss I. Baker have returned to Palmerston North after a visit to Wellington. Mrs. A. G. Whitelaw, Wellington, Is on a visit to Mrs. H. Taylor, Wanganui.

Mrs. L. C. Sladden, New Plymouth, travelled by plane to Nelson, where she will spend two months’ holiday with her daughter, Mrs. R. A. Lucas. A wedding of interest to friends in Hawke’s Bay was that of Miss Mary Rainbow, who was married in England on Saturday last to Mr. Raymond Herbert Nuding. Woking, Surrey. The ceremony took place in St. Peter’s Church. Woking. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. I Rainbow Hastings, and the bridegroom the only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Nuding, Cleardown, Woking. Miss Richardson, matron of an Anglican children’s home in Christchurch is visiting her mother. Mrs. Richardson. Palmerston North.

Mrs. James Begg, Dominion president of the Plunket Society, will visit Wellington for the provincial conference of the society tomorrow. Mrs. P. Bennett, New Plymouth, is a visitor to Wellington,

Mrs. A, F. Lowe, who was in Wellington for the Helmore-Williams wedding, has returned to Upper Hutt. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Lawrence, Timaru, who have been the guests of Mrs. L. Suhan, Parenga, Levin, left on Tuesday to spend a holiday in the Waikato district, where they will be the guests of Mrs. F. J. Vosper, Rawhiti, Matamata.

Miss Betty Signal. Wairoa, and Miss Peggy Barnard, Napier, are in Wellington taking the teachers’ course at the Phyllis Bates School of Dancing.
