Henderson Brothers Win Tournament Events The Empire club held a tournament in Petone on Monday night under the auspices of the Hutt Valley Table Tennis Association. S. Henderson won the singles and R. Henderson and J. Capstick the doubles. Results:— Singles. FIRST SECTION. Quarterfinals: S. Henderson beat Blandford, 51-48; Nicholls beat K. Pomton, 37-22; Bearer beat F. Smith, 39-34; R. AVade beat G. Corbett, 43-13. Semifinals: Henderson beat Nicholls, 38-35; Wade beat Bearer, 39-34. Final: Henderson beat AVade, 43-39. SECOND SECTION. Quarterfinals: J. Halligan beat N. Anderson, 34-27; R. Henderson beat D, Love, 47-45; .McHugh beat Anderson, 3925; J. Capstick beat Everson, 42-32. Semifinals: Halligan beat Henderson, 34-27; McHugh beat Capstick, 34-27. Final: McHugh beat Halligan, 36-31. SECTION FINAL. S. Henderson beat McHugh, 43-27. Doubles. Quarterfinals: Nicholls and Halligan beat J. AVilson- and D. Love, 44-38; R. Henderson and Smith beat Baker and Corbett, 33-31; Campbell and Aitken beat Emerson and A r . Henderson, 31-26; S. Henderson and Capstick beat A. Harding and A. AA r ood, 40-36. Semifinals: Henderson and Smith beat Nicholls aud Halligan, 33-23 ; »Henderson and Capstick beat Campbell and Aitken, 46-40.
