Y.M.C.A. LADIES' AUXILIARY
There was a very large gathering of members when the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary, Wellington, held the first meeting of the year on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. R. S. Maunder presided, and a warm welcome was extended to two new members, Mesdames Briggs and Vincent.
Air. V. C. Jones, general secretary of the Y.M.C.A., spoke of the projected campaign to eliminate the debt on the Y.M.C.A. building, and the members of the auxiliary willingly agreed to do their share in helping to make the effort a success.
A market day, to be held in the Y.M.C.A. lounge during this month, was arranged, and plans were discussed for a picnic to take place in March. Afternoon tea was served.
