Colts’ Cricket Match One of the most interesting items on to-day’s outdopr programme will be the baseball game to be played between the teams representing Salt Lake City, U.S.A., and Wellington, at the' Winter Show grounds, play commencing at 2.30 o’clock. Wellington Cricket Association, Tile only championship competition matches to be played by the Wellington Cricket Association this afternoon will be the third grade matches. A round of friendly matches has been arranged for all other grades, the senior fixtures being :— Hutt v. Wellington College Old Boys, at Hutt; Wellington v. Kilbirnie, at Kilbirnie; Karori v. The Wellington Mercantile Cricket League will proceed with its grade championship competitions this afternoon, when the following A grade matches will be decided: — Gaseo v. Working M.C., Athletic 1; ■Woolworths v. Taubmans, Athletic 2; Celtic v. Hannahs, Kilbirnie 5; Taxes v. Amalgamated Bricks, Kelburn 3 tige v. Customs Agents. Newtown 7. Alterations in this afternoon’s Mercantile League lower grade fixtures are: — The B grade match between Smith and Smith and Jasco, originally set down for Karori 3, will be played at Kelburn 4. The D grade match between Star Stores and Excelsior, originally set down for Karori 5, will be played at Wakefield 1 (lower ground). Hutt Valley Cricket Association.

The Hutt Valley Cricket Association will continue its championship competitions this afternoon, when the following A grade games will be played: Trafalgar Park v. Eastbourne, at Eastbourne; Gear United v. Empire, Nai Nai No. 1; Todd Motors v. Meadows, Hutt Recreation Ground: General Motors v. Bell 1/ai-k, at Bell Park. Women’s Cricket. The Wellington Women’s Cricket Association will play a practice match, Batsmen v. Bowlers, on Prinee of Wales Park this afternoon. The following lower grade matches will also be played : — Intermediate: Hutt v. Trinity, Eastern Hutt School; Y.W.C.A. v. Technical. 'Nairn Street. Junior: College O.G. v. Lever Bros,, Emerson Street; Hannahs v. Y.W.0.A., Rolleston Street 1 ; Kilbirnie v. Technical 0.G., Rolleston Street 2. Boys’ Cricket. The Wellington Boys’ Cricket Association will play a match between elevens representing the senior and intermediate grades at Prince of Wales Park this morning, play commencing at 8 o'clock. The following will be the senior representative team: T. Schofield, A. Adams, A. Woods, F. Head, E. McCarty, B. Wilton. A. Savage, L. Williams, A. Carpel], R. Hill, J. Hunter, E. Murphy. Athletics. The Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre will conduct the third scratch meeting under the new system of graded competition at Hataitai Park, the first event being at 2.30 p.m. Whippet Racing. The Petone Whippet Racing Club will hold a meeting at Hutt Park to-day. The Golf Card.

The Wellington club will play the annual mixed foursomes for Lady Bell’s Bowl and the Challenge Cup to-day. The third round of the Shandon Summer Cup will be played during the weekend. A flag competition will be held on the Manor Park links to-day, and to-morrow a fourball best-ball bogey competition and a Canadian foursome stroke event, will be decided. Bogey rounds will be played on the Waiwetu links to-morrow, with a special competition for a Christmas trophy.

Yachting. The Evans Bay Yacht and MotorBoat Club will hold a handicap races this afternoon, the X, II and N classes starting at 3 p.m., and the I, E. Q and Z classes at 3.15 p.m. The Port Nicholson club will ateo run a series of races. Pennant Bowls. The fourth round of senior and junior pennant competitions will be played by bowling clubs in ollington and suburbs to-day. PIGEON CLUB RACES 4 The Wellington Central Pigeon Club held two races last Saturday, the first being a coinbjne race from Opua. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 6 a.m. The second was a pen race from National Park. The stationmaster, Mr. F. J.
