SERIOUS ASSAULT
Small Girl The Victim By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, December 17. Lured by the promise of a penny to the bush near the junction of Mail Belt Road and Cobden Street, soon after 6 o’clock this evening, a little girl, aged 4 years, was seriously and criminally assaulted by a man who has not. yet been apprehended by the police. The child was found wandering about in the bush by her distracted parents in a highly nervous state, bordering on hysteria. The assault was of a very serious nature, and the little victim had to be attended to by a doctor.
