Eleven Ships Allotted

The following 11 ships have been allotted to load Homeward at New Zealand ports during January-February :— Port Line. The Port Campbell, now en route from London, will load at Bluff January 6-8, Auckland January 12-18, Wellington January 20-25 and Napier January 26-30. She will clear Napier on January 30 for London via Cape Horn and Montevideo. The motor-ship Port Jackson, now. en route from London, loads at Lyttelton January 24-25, Port Chalmers January 26-28, Bluff January 29-Feb. 2, Wellington Feb. 4-9, and Auckland Feb. 11-16. She will clear Auckland on February 16 for London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. Shaw, Savill Company. The motor-ship Walrangl will load at Wanganui December 28-31, New Plymouth January 1-5, Auckland Jan. 7-12. Napier January 14-17 and Wellington January 1825. She will clear this port on January 25 for London, via Cape Hora and Las Palmas. The liner Mataroa loads at Timaru January 15-17. Lyttelton January 18-20, Picton January 21-24 ami Wellington January 25-28. She will clear tills port on January 28 for Southampton and Loudon, via the Panama Canal.The Matakana will load at Wellington January 8-12, New Plymouth January 1315, Auckland January 17-21. Gisborne January 22-25 and Napier January 26-28. She clears Napier on January 28 for London. Hull and Newcastle-on-Tyne. via Cape Horn and Montevideo. Federal S.N. Company. The liner Rotorua will load at Tokomaru Bay January 8-9, Auckland January 10-15 and Wellington January 17-20. She will clear this port on January 20 fur London, Avonmouth, Liverpool. Manchester and Glasgow, '-la the Panama Caual. The Tekoa, front Australia, loads at New Plymouth January 10-14, Auckland January 17-22, Wellington January 24-27 and Wanganui January 28-Februar.v 3. She will clear Wanganui on February 3 for Southampton, London, Avonmouth, Cardiff. Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. The Kent will, load at Port Chalmers January 18-19, New Plymouth January 2125, Auckland January 28-Februar.v 3, Napier February 5-7. Wellington February 8-9. Lyttelton February 10-12. Timaru February 11-15 and Bluff February 16-19. She will clear Bluff on February 19 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. New Zealand Shipping Company. The liner Remuera will load at Auckland February 3-8, Lyttelton February 11-14 and Wellington February 15-17. She wili clear this port on February 17 fur London, via the Panama Canal. Blue Star Line. The motor-ship New Zealand Star, from Australia, will load at New Plymouth January 11-13, (Jpua January 15-17, Auckland January 18-21. Wellington January 24-27 and Napier January 28-31. She will clear Napier on January 31 for London, via the Panama Canal. The Trojan Star, from South Africa, will load at Tlmaru January 20-21. Lyttelton January 22-25, Wellington January 27-31 and Auckland Februarj- 2-8. She wilt clear Auckland on Februarj- 8 for London, via the Panama Canal. REMUERA LEAVES LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that its liner Kemuera left London on Thursday for Wellington and Auckland. She is due here on January 22. PORT HOBART DELAYED. Delayed by rain at Lyttelton, the Port Line motor-ship Port Hobart is now to leave there to-daj- for Dunedin to complete discharge of her New York cargo. She la now due at New Plymouth on December 22 to commence her Homeward loading. WAIRANGI LEAVES BRISBANE. Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw. Savill Company that its motor-ship Walrangi left Brisbane at noon on Thursday for Wellington. She is due here on Monday morning and will remain in port until December 27 when she will leave for Wanganui to commence her Homeward loading. AWATEA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Union Company’s liner Awatea, from Wellington, reached Sydney yesterday morning. She left there again last night for Auckland, where slie is due next Monday The Awatea will leave Auckland again the following day on the return trip to Sydney. ROTORUA IN PORT. To continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo to the agency of the Federal Company. ttie New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua is due at Wellington Ibis’ morning from Auckland, and will berth at the King’s Whu-T. Timaru on January 20 from London, via South Africa, lias the following passengers for New Zealand:— Mr. H. C. Somerby, Mr. P. H. Playde 1Bouverie, Mr. and Mrs. A. I. Lieasdale, Mrs. K. Martin-Knornschild. jMr. and Mrs. W. E. Clayton, Brigadier-General E. Hewlett, Mrs. E. A. Kidd and Miss M. Q. Kirker. Dr, Bridge is acting as ship s surgeon. NARBADA CLEARS SAMARANG. The Union Company has received cabled advice that its chartered steamer Aarbada, en route from Calcutta, via Penang and Singapore, cleared Samarang last luesuay for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, T nnaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Auckland on January 2. SIGNAL STATION CLOSED. The hill signal station at Bluff Harbour, the approximate position of which is latiture 46deg. 37mln. south, longitude IbSdeg. 20min. east, will be closed on and after January 1, and signalling will be carried out from the signal station at Stirling Point. GISBORNE HARBOUR SIGNAL STATION. On and after January 10 the following alteration will be made to t.he watch f rol n the signal station and to the working of tlie inner harbour. Between midnight and G a.ui. when no overseas vessel is lying’m Hie roadstead, the presenl continuous watch wilt be discontinued and the inner harbour closed except for vessels requiring advantage of the tide, i.e., vessels of over 12ft. 6in. draught. A signal man will be kept on duty for these vessels if ample notice is given to the harbourmaster, otherwise tiiey must remain at their berths or outside until 6 a.m. A continuous watch will also be maintained when an overseas vessel is expected, provided ample notification of arrival lias been given to the harbourmaster. 1
