These are happy days in the Navy, as each day drafts of ratings from tho ships are leaving for their homes on annual leave. Many of them will spend Christmas and New Year with their families. The cruisers of the New Zealland Division, Achilles and Leander, .are at present in Auckland, and they are being joined by the Imperial escort vessels Wellington and Leith. Facilities will be made for ratings, who are standing by their ships over the holidays to take their leave after Christmas, and it is expected all vessels on the station will be up to full strength again late in January.
