Rongotai And Wairarapa
The annual cricket match between Rongotai College ami Wairarapa High School commenced at the Kilbirnie Reserve yesterday in sunny weather, with a strong breeze. At stumps, Rongotai had a lead of 126 runs.- their team having scored 247 to High School's 121. The standard of cricket was very high, Rongotai's batting and fielding being especially commendable. The High School bowlers had some difficulty iu dealing with the batsmen, although Hibbs did well in securing five wickets for 50 runs. Scores: — RONGOTAI.—First Innings. Cundy, e. Tauwhare, b.
