Mount Everest
(British Official Wireless.)
Rugby, December 14.
Most of the party of seven men who will constitute the British expedition which next spring will make a further attempt to reach the 29,000 ft. summit of Mount Everest have now been selected.
Mr. W. H. Tilman, 39, is the oldest member of the party. He has had wide mountaineering experience, but has not previously participated in an Everest climb. Four of the men who will accompany him, namely, Smythe, Shipton, Warren, and Oliver, were, however, with Mr. Hugh Ruttledge in the attack on Everest last year.
