Fletcher —Tosswill

The wedding was celebrated recently of Miss Beatrix Tosswill, only daughter of Mrs. J. M. Tosswill, and the late Mr. J. M. Tosswill, Mt. Eden, Auckland, and ' Mr. John Shearer Fletcher, elder son of Mr. aiid Mrs. James Fletcher, Remuera. The service was held in St. Barnabas’ Church, Mt. Eden, which had been beautifully decorated with red and white flowers by friends of the bride. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Mr. Menteith. The bride, who was given away by her brother, wore a graceful gown of silver grey satin, and a bridal veil held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of white Christmas lilies.

Her two bridesmaids were her cousin, Miss Swainson, Manakau, and Miss Ella Fletcher, sister of the bridegroom. They wore graceful frocks of dove grey georgette over satin, with sashes of geranium red and almond green forming pointed trains. They carried sheafs of red roses and wore wreaths of the same flowers in their hair.

Mr. James M. C. Fletcher, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. Bruce Donald, Featherston, was groomsman. A reception was held at the home of the bridegroom’s parents at Remuera, where Mrs. Tosswill and Mrs. Fletcher received the guests. Mrs. Tosswill was in a black and white floral dress, and a large black hat, and Mrs. Fletcher wore black net, patterned with tiny flowers in various colours. Her picture hat was of black straw. They both carried bouquets. ' When the newly-married couple left by car, Mrs. J. S. Fletcher was- wearing an ensemble in London tan, with a small hat of the same shade.
