Commercial Broadcasting Investigation
Sir.—Your correspondent “Not Impressed” is definitely wrong in his facts regarding the Challenge thrown #ct by "Uncle Scrim.” The position is that nobody lias yet dared to make a charge. All sorts of things have been hinted at, but nothing really definite can be found in any of the insinuations. 'Therefore, I think “Scrim” had only this option left, to offer to resign if anything underhand could be proved. This seems pretty fair to me. Now all the people who have attempted to raise doubts regarding tempted ’to raise doubts regarding “Scrim’s” intergrity can get to work. Why put the country to the expense of a Royal Commission? "Scrim,” I venture to suggest, is very disappointed that at least one of his critics did not commit himself. He would then have been able to employ the law. Perhaps “Not Impressed” would care to show his courage by making a charge, or is he like a_ll the rest, just so much nonsense?—l am, etc., SATISFIED. Wanganui, December 13.
