yir—i read recently in the Press that on the coming visit of the South African team, tile games are to 6e played under the international rules. And this makes me wonder whether the referees’ rulings are to be governed by the New Zealand book of rulings, or by the one that is in universal nse in every country except New Zealand. If the former is to be the practice, our visitors are likely to get some surprises. Later, 1 read that the New Zealand rules of the game are a word for word copv of the English rules.
