The strange spectacle of a fall of snow coming from a perfectly clear sky was seen at Arthur’s Pass last Friday. About an inch of snow had fallen on the Thursday night, but toward morning the weather became tine and there was a sharp frost. When the sun rose a northerly wind began to blow, evidently bringing with it some moisture. When the wind reacn ed the colder parts of the pass, the moisture condensed and there was a slight fall of snow, coming apparently from a clear sky.
