Auckland. June 22,

Brodie, of Montreal, overseas passenger manager of the Canadian Pacific Railways, who arrived from Sydney by the Aorangi to-day on his way to Vancouver. Mr. Brodie, who is accompanied by Mrs. Brodie, libs just completed the third of his five yearly visits to New Zealand and Australia to familiarise himself with overseas conditions. He was in the Dominion for two months early this year. “In South Australia, Victoria and Queensland business conditions are much improved,” Mr. Brodie continued. “There has been a great deal of building in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. Transport facilities have been greatly improved since my last visit five years ago.” The dried fruit industry was very prosperous in Australia, Mr. Brodie concluded. He said they were taking 16,000 bong of Australian dried fruits to Canada this year. ,
