WEDDING

Elliott—Nossiter

The wedding was solemnised at St John’s Church, ou Thursday, of Patricia Norah, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nossiter, “Cateswell,” Ohariu Valley, and Frank Edward, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Elliott. Portmore Gate, Pahiatua, and formerlj of Feilding. The Rev. C. J. G. Samuda officiated, and the organist was Mr. Richardson.

The bride who entered the church with her father, wore a classical frock of white crepe marocain, with cowl neckline and raglan sleeves, slashed to the shoulder. The skirt had a slight train. The embroidered trail (which was lent by a friend) was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. Her only ornament was a rope of pearls, and her shower bouquet was of freesias and poppies. She was attended by Lorna Elliott, sister of the bridegroom, whose frock was similar to that of the bride and wag finished with a cherry velvet sash. She wore matching flowers in her hair and carried a bouquet of red anemones and carnations.

The bride’s little niece, Shirley Nossiter. was flowergirl, being dressed in a long white taffeta frock, finished with frills at the hem. Her sash ami hair band corresponded with those of the bridesmaid, and she carried a basket of red anemones.

The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Bruce Beattie. Feilding. After the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Nossiter entertained their guests at a buffet afternoon tea. Mrs. Nossiter was wearing a suit of wedgewood blue with black hat relieved with touches of blue. Her bouquet was of gold chrysanthemums. Mrs. Elliott, the bridegroom’s mother, wore navy blue with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink and mauve. The bride’s sister. Mrs. D. Aitcheson, Masterton, wore a navy blue ensemble with a blue hat

When Mr. and Mrs. Frank Elliott left later by car, the bride was wearing a suit of brown pilot cloth, finished with astrakau, and a small astrakan hat, and accessories to match. Their future home will be at Te Iloro.
