Genii' i sunshine and a light breeze favoured players in the fifth and sixth rounds of the British amateur golf championship. In the fifth round, Ferrier beat C. W. Timmis, 1 up; Cameron (U.S.A.) beat H. G. McCallum, 1 up; Ewing beat Wethered, 2 up; Thomson beat Brown, 6 and 4; Jamieson beat Dr Scroggie, 3 and 2: Martin beat Lind say at the 21st; Middleton beat Arana (Spain). 2 and 1; Walker beat Turnbull. 5 and 3: Peters beat Bentley. 2 and 1; Tolley beat Aitken, 5 and 4; Dykes beat McKinlay, 2 and 1; MacDonald beat Lyle, 2 and 1: Kyle beat Ridson, 2 and 1; Haggard beat Fraser Lee, 3 and 2; Hill beat A. S. Anderson, 2 up, Sweeny heat Storey, 2 and 1.
