To-day’s Recipe MOCHA CUSTARD

Quarter-cup of strong black coffee, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 eggs, li cups milk, vanilla essence, whipped cream. Dissolve the sugar and coffee together, and stir into it. the boiling milk. Beat the egg lightly in a basin, and stir in the coffee-flavour-ed milk, beating steadily. Add vanilla essence to taste. Have ready 7 buttered ramekin dishes (individual size), and pour in the custard mixture. Stand ramekins in a shallow pan of hot water, place in a moderate oven, and cover with a buttered paper. Bake till custards are set. Serve hot with a spoonful of whipped cream ou top of each custard. Serves live or six people.
