British Government Stand INTRODUCTION DELAYED (British Official Wireless.) i Received May 29, 5.5 p.m./ Rugby, Maj’ 28. An announcement arising out of th P decision of tlie Government last Monday week not to go to division on the second reading of tlie Coa; Mines Bill after opposition developed on bo:h sides of tlie House to amendments which the Government indicated It would introduce in the committee stage was made by the Prime Minister in the House of Commons this evening. Mr. Baldwin said that tlie Govern nient held by the principles of the Bill but had decided that it must be postponed till the autumn as sufficient time was not available after the recess in the heavy Parliamentary time-tab’e. The Government would make use of the interval to redraft tlie Bill, which would include the changes announced in the debate on the second reading.
