Believed to Have Suffered From Poisoning

Having failed to regain consciousness, the young man who was admitted to the Wellington Hospital on Monday evening from the Trentham racecourse in a serious condition, believed to be suffering from some form of poisoning, died in hospital shortly before noon yesterday.

Identification was not possible until yesterday. He was Stanley Mervyn Massey,’ aged 29, a married man, living apart from his wife. lie has a brother residing at 49 Severn Street, Island Bay.
