Lady Wigram left Wellington last night for Christchurch. Mrs. George Hales, Weber, is a visitor to Wellington. Miss Mollie Cooper. Masterton, is on a visit to Wellington.
Mrs. Hanson Turton is a Wellington visitor to Auckland. Miss Diana Jamieson, Gisborne, is staying with Miss Janet Miles, Wesley Road.
Miss Nancy Gard’ner, Christchurch, will leave from Australia on May 6 by tbe Mongolia for a trip to England. Mr. and Mrs. F. Judd, Stonestead, Greytown, have returned after a tbreeweeks’ holiday in the South Island. Mrs. R. H. McMaster and her small son, Featherston, are staying with Mrs. Fenwick, Napier.
Miss Mclntosh, Wellington, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. John Ewen. Remuera, Auckland. Mrs. H. AV. Piper, Thompson Street, is a visitor to l J almerstou North for the races.
Mrs, Adrian Detainer,e, Malay States, accompanied by her husband, has arrived at Auckland from Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Smallwood, formerly of Auckland, have taken Mrs. F. Cooper’s house in Woburn Road. Lower Hutt, for a year.
Mrs. Robert Dake and Miss Peggy Lake, Christchurch, have returned from Anikawa, and are staying with Mrs. George Pascoe, Kelburn.
Mr. ami Mrs, John Morgan, Rangiwahia, who have been staying with Mrs. E. Hogg, Kelburn, are now touring the South Island. Mrs. F. K. Hunt, who has-been visiting the South Islam], left Wellington by the Limited last night on her return to Auckland.
Mrs. M. Barritt, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Chapman, Wadestown, has returned to Christchurch.
Recent Wellington guests at Foster’s Hotel, Wanganui, included: Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Morrison. Mr. nnd Mrs. G. R. -McKellar, Dr. and Mrs. I’. D. Cameron, Miss Cameron.
Recent Wellington guests at the White Star Hotel, Queenstown, included: Miss I. Drawbridge, Miss A. Drawbridge, Mr. R. Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Y. Taylor, Miss M. Eberlet.
Mr .and Mrs. W. Bardsley, Wellington; Mrs. Shaw, Masterton; Mrs, ami Miss Morton, Palmerston North, were among recent guests at Auakiwa Homestead, Queen Charlotte Sound.
The Misses Betty and Sylvia McLaren, Hataitui, will leave to-day by the Monowai for Sydney, en route for England and the Continent. They are travelling with their grand father, Mr. Marcus I’. Marks.
Mrs. Mlles, Hobson Street, and her daughter, Mrs. W, F, Handyside, Lower Hutt, who are visiting the Franz* Josef Glacier, will arrive- at Christchurch to-morrow and will spend the week-end at Hamner Springs. Mrs. Miles will spend a few days next week with Mrs. J. H. Hall, Papanui Road, and Mrs. Handyside will stay with Mrs. F. L. Scott, Gloucester Street West.
