A BOWLS OCCASION

“Bill Hendry’s Picnic”

What is usually referred to among bowlers as “Bill Hendry’s Picnic” is to take place ou the Lower Hutt club’s green to-morrow afternoon. This is a social gathering (five rinks on either side) of the older members of the Lower Hutt and Victoria clubs. These players rank as the veterans of their chibs, and they play the game in a spirit of the purest sociability. It really does not matter in the least if a player puts up a wrong bias bowl and it matters little who wins.
