? Havering has joAied the stable of A. E. EUis, arriving at Jiiccarton from the North Island on Wednesday •He will be got ready for jumping races. Earlier in his career he was a galloper ou the flat. He also showed attractive form when tried over hurdles, but he has been off the scene for a long time. Retired. The three-year-old filly Hororata, by Tea Tray from Scrip, -has finished her racing career, and she has been sent home to ■Sir Charles Clifford’s. Stonyhurst Stud, where she will take up stud life. She was a smart .performer as a two-year-old, but she failed to strilie form this season. Auckland Nominations. ■Nominations for the Easter meeting of the Auckland Racing Club, and forfeit for the Great Northern Champagne, Oaks and St. Leger Stakes, will close with Mr. W. Spence to-day at 5 o’clock. Westport Entries. The time for the closing of nominations for the annual meeting of the Westport Jockey Club, to be held on April 4 and 6, has been extended to 9 p.m. to-morrow.
