Ncav Station at Palmerston North CONSTRUCTION SHORTLY Although the plans for the new plant research station at. Palmerston North have yet. t o be drawn, arrangeluetits for their preparation are well under way, au ( ] the authorities hope to be abb* to make an early start, with the coustruetiou of the building. The station is at present housed in sever,,; premises iu Paluierstou North. Th is intended to erect the new building on a site in close proximity to Alassey Agricultural College, so that the facilities of Hie college will be available. This will also permit the fullest, co operation between Hie college and tbe station. A. grant of £5750 has been approved for the work. The new station will be a wooden building of one story, with laboratory aud office accommodation for the various plant research sections. ’
