Wesley Ladies’ Guild
The Taranaki Street Wesley Ladies’ Guild held their annual meeting recently. there being a large attendance of members and friends. The retiring secretary, Mrs. Evans, showed, in the annual report, that the past year had been a successful one.
Tho retiring treasurer. Mrs. Russell, in presenting the financial statement, stated that there was a small credit balance.
The following officers for the ensuing year were elected: President, Mrs. Hein (re-elected) ; secretary, Mrs. MacGeun; treasurer, Mrs. Childs; organist, Mrs. Howe; auditor, Mr, 11. P. Mourant.
A very pleasant and profitable afternoon was spent, interspersed with musical items and afternoon tea The devotional part of the meeting was conducted by the Rev. Percy Paris.
