Runners For To-morrow By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, July 25. Although heavy rain fell yesterday a strong wind is rapidly drying up the tracks at Awapuni, and fair conditions prevailed this morning when candidates for the Manawatu meeting galloped. Note Issue ran three furlongs in 39 2-5. Although the filly carried on she was cased ui>, the next furlong taking 15 4-5. Evasion jumped away at the 8-J-furlong post, and was picked up by Full Throttle at the seven-furlong peg. The pair then ran the last seven furlongs iu 1.40. Evasion ran the mile in 1.55 1-5, the first three furlongs taking 42 2-5. They were still together at the finish. Hound Score and Hunting Lodge, both with substantial weights and not off the bit, ran five furlongs- in 1.11. Santoft was a length clear of Te JRangitumau at the close of seven furlongs covered in 1.41 4-5. The first two took 29 2-5, and the half-mile 58. Hilton Gorse, with a substantial advantage in weights, was three lengths in front of Pylon at the end of half a milS: run in 55 4-5, after taking 14 1-5 for the initial furlong. Gold Cure, with a lightweight up, ran six furlongs in 1.22 1-5, after running the first three furlongs in 39 4-5. Happy Hunting, with a lightweight in the saddle, ran five furlongs in 1.8 1-5, after covering the first two in 27. lliotous nnd Cardhu were associated over a couple of rounds of the country. Cardhu g'ave a very pleasing display; Riotous was a little careless at the fences.

Tudor and Esteem stayed together throughout a round of the hurdle fences. Tudor fenced beautifully, and bad the advantage in this respect. Saltspray, who has apparently made a good recovery from the injury received at Wellington, went a couple of rounds on the sand at a strong pace.
