JJRITISH Dominion Films Ltd., are in receipt of advice that David Wark Griffith, the veteran screen director. is to direct, for the Twickenham Studios, a talking picture version of his famous "silent” success. “Broken Blossoms.” D. W. Griffith is known, throughout he film industry as the man who made stars overnight The original silent film “Broken Blossoms” made both Lilian gg-i, Richard Barthelmess famous in a night and for the sound version of this powerful subject Griffith will comb Britain to find new stars. He will thus bring .with him a great o-'oortunity for British film artists. Fvery part in the picture, which will ultimately be handled in Australia by British Dominions Films Ltd., will offer •• chance of fame, for “Broken Blossoms” was one of the outstanding triumphs of the silent screen.
