Auckland Market Prices Dominion Special Service. Auckland, July 23. The Waipiata, with an exceptionally heavy shipment of southern potatoes arrived yesterday to st bare market and a considerable quantity has already oeen disposed of on the basis of £9/10/- per ton ex wharf. Local requirements in regard to mions are still being filled chiefly by the Californian shipment. Internal prices have not been fully maintained, and they are now available nt 19/- per 1001 b. bag through store, which is only slightly above quotations for Pukekohe. In horse feed there has been a slight upward move in chaff for which merchants are now asking £7/15/- per ton. B Garton oats are still priced at 4/4 per bushel. Fowl wheat is coming forward regularly from the south and has a steady sale at 5/7 per bushel. Supplies of maize are not very plentiful, a.s the prolonged wet weather has interfered with deliveries from the Bay of Plenty. However, prices are lower and merchants are now quoting new season’s at 4/3 per bushel through store. Pollard supplies are still coming regularly from Australia and. together with that available from the local mills, sell freely at unaltered rates. Bran, too, is unchanged in price.
