ANNUAL PICNIC

Education Department Some 200 people attended the annual picnic of the Education Department at Maidstone Park yesterday, the day being well occupied in races, tennis, cricket ami swimming. The committee, which ably saw 'to the arrangements, comprised Messrs. J. E. Montgomery. 11. Fulford, 11. K. Keating, C. F. Houlton, J. L. McAlister, and Misses I. M. Burton. M. Galloway, and Bennett. The president, was Mr. N. T. Lambourne, and the secretary Mr. R. P. Gibson. The women’s 75 yards handicap race was won by Miss Greeks, with Miss Styles second. R. M. Wickens won the men’s 100 yards handicap, R. P. Gibson being second. In the evening a dance was held at the Brown Owl tearooms.
