The Exodus of Brains
Sir, —Your correspondent, “Ambition,” repeats a cry which I have heard in many parts of the British Commonwealth, including England. A few years ago many from the British University found billets in India and the Dominions, but those opportunities are now curtailed. One lady who has just returned from Europe, according to “The Dominion,” also repeats this dry, and appears to resent the fact that Englishmen come here to fill positions. Surely what is sauce for the goos-’e is sauce for the gander. Apparently in the near future the hardest men to find will lie first-class general labourers.—l llUl ’ etC " SUPPLY AND DEMAND.
