Hales—Cooper A wedding of considerable interest was celebrated by the Rev. Father M. Murphy, S.M., of Thnaru, on Thursday of last week, when Margaret, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Cooper, Masterton, was married to George, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. 8. Tales, of ‘'Claudelands,” Weber. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a frock of old rose lace and georgette, with hat and shoes to tone, and carried a bouquet of cream , roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Molly Cooper, a sister to the bride, wore a lemon lace and georgette frock, with a shoulder cape, and hat and shoes to tone. A bouquet of scarlet roses was carried.

_ The ceremony was preceded by Nuptial Mass, and a reception was subsequently held at the Hotel St. George, where the parents of the bride and bridegroom received the guests. The bride’s mother wore black georgette with lace, and black hat with eye veil, while the groom’s mother wore a Burgundy chenille and georgette frock and black hat. After the reception the bridal couple left on a motor tour of part of the North Island, the bride wearing a brown tweed costume, skin shoes, and hat to tone, and fur coat. * * • Gordon—Anderson A very quiet wedding was solemnised at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Willis Street, Wellington, by the Rev. Leonard Hunt, on Easter Monday, when Eileen, younger daughter of Mr. and Sirs. W. J, Anderson. Glasgow Street, Wanganui,l was married to Alexander Maurice, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Gordon, Mills Street, Marton. The bride, who was attired in a beige elephant crepe frock, was given away by her brother, Mr. J. H. Anderson, of Wanganui. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s sister, Mrs. T. A. Christeson, Salisbury Terrace, ’Wellington. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon will be in Wellington. * * * Donald—Malmo The wedding was solemnised in Knox Presbyterian Church, Masterton, recently of Jean Margaret, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Malmo, Homebush, Masterton, to Malcolm Gordon, eldest son of Mrs. L. Donald, and the late Mr. Donald, Te Ore Ore. The Rev. John Davie officiated, and Miss Constance Donald. L.A.8.. presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin beaute. cut on straight lines, with high round neck and long tight sleeves puffed above the elbow. Her bouquet was of white chrysanthemums and blue delphinium. The bridesmaids, Misses Jean Laing. Masterton, and Muriel Aitchison, Wellington, were attired in frocks of floral georgette, worn over blue and pink satin respectively. They both wore shoes and bats to match and carried posies. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Rhys Donald, as best man, and Mr. C. Malmo as groomsman. The reception was held in the Masonic Hall, where the bride and bridegroom wore piped in by Pipe-Major M. McKenzie. The bride's mother received her guests in black georgette and lace. She also wore a black velour hat and shoes to tone, and carried n posy of aul limn flowers. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black tailored costume, and a hat and shoes to mutch. She carried a posy of flowers in shades of red. The bride's travelling dress was of French grey wool crepe, trimmed with blue, and she also wore a blue velour hat.
