Inkling was leaning against a fallen tree having a little rest when he beard voices! "Rabbits!” said one voice! “Hundreds ot them over in tbc next field. We ought to shoot lots.” “Ooh.'’ thought Inkling, “here's where I conic in. Full speed ahead. Alarm!”
The rabbits were playing a game called “Bunny-bops.” Rather difficult to understand unless, of course. they explained to you. They didn’t sec Inkling or hear him • houting in the distance until he got quite close.
Then. “Men! Guns!! Dogs!!! Quick !!!!” cried Inkling. In two twitches of a bunny whisker nol a rabbit was in sight. “Saved.” said Inkling, and hurried away out of danger.
At dusk. Inkling .rnd his new liicnds watched the hunters, weary and rabbitless, trudging up the long bill. How they chuckled, and what j fuss they made of Inkling. Next week he'll tell you about his visit to the wanen.
