Tournament Begins Monday
Everything is in readiness for the New Zealand bowling tournament, which is to open in Wellington on Monday morning, when a welcome to all bowlers and visitors will be extended by I lie president. Weliington. and Thorndon- There was slight rain with the northerly wind yesterday, but as a change to the south is forecast, the prospects for good weather at the opening of the tournament are good. , . , The howlers’ evening to be given to those competing in the tournament is to take place at the Masonic Hall on Saturday next week. There are 150 competitors in the singles, which are to be played on Monday and Tuesday, and tbtjy will occupy ten greens during the day.
