SLAUGHTERMAN FINED
Attack on Free Labourer By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, Jan. 5. A freezing works slaughterman, William McKenzie, who declined to go back to work when tbe_ works opened this season, was fined £5, with medical and other costs, this morning for assaulting a free labourer named Schroeder. The police stilted that assaults of this kind were becoming too common among the strikers. The free labourers asked the justices to make an example of accused.
