Activities at Penrose Camp Masterton. Jan. 5; Boys attending the agricultural training and holiday camp at Penrose are being kept busily engaged with practical work and lectures. The Department of Agriculture commenced its course of instruction yesterday, when Mr. S. Freeman | gave an interesting and instructive talk on soils. So as to allow the whole day to be. a- voted to practical work, arrangements ha<e been made for the lectures to be given in the evening, immediately after tea. Yesterday the boys received instruction in milking, both by hand and machine, leaping, binding, and stocking, haymaking, fencing. and various tasks with horses.
