Anglo-Russian Negotiations PROPOSAL ACCEPTED Official Wireless Rugby, Dec. 9. A Note received at the Foreign Office from the Soviet Ambassador, M. Maisky, in London, states that, “having considered the Note of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of October 17, as well as the proposal of the Secretary to commence negotiations for a new commercial treaty made to me during my conversation with him on November 11, the Government of the Soviet Union accepts the proposal and is prepared to commence negotiations.” M. Maisky and the Soviet trade representative in Britain, M. Alexandre Osersky, have been entrusted with the conduct of the negotiations.
