Variable Conditions in City The weather in Wellington on Saturday was bright and sunny, with passing clouds and a high north wind. On Sunday there was a good deal of sunshine, with a light breeze. Late in the afternoon the sky clouded over. Boisterous sdnth-we.sterly weather prevailed at Auckland during the week-end. On Saturday the sky was cloudy and threatening, and frequent, showers were experienced. Yesterday the wind was blowing in heavy gusts, accompanied occasionally by light rain. At Christchurch the weather over the week-end was mixed. Saturday was fine, but clouds gathered in the late afternoon, and at night a south-west storm developed and very heavy rain fell early in the morning. Yesterday a high wind continued with few showers. Boisterous and unsettled weather prevailed during the week-end at Dunedin. A squally south-west wind was blowing and intermittent showers fell.
