FINE PERFORMANCES By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dimedin, Dec. 11. At the North Otago Amateur Athletic Association’s sports meeting held at Oatnaru yesterday M. Spillane (Palmerston) beat the best New Zealand _ bammerthrowing performance of 151 ft. Gin. established by the present ehampiou. J. G. Leckie, with a throw of 164 ft. Sin. .The noted Oamaru athlete, A. A. Cameron, broke his present New Zealand record for the hop, step, and Jump by quarter of an inch with 47ft. oin. R. O. Johnston (Dunedin) gave a fine exhibition in.the pole vault, clearing J Ift. lin. to break "the Otago record of 10ft. Gin. In the 120 yards hurdles, H. W. Milner (Waitaki Boys’ High School) lowered his school record by l-usce., doing the distance in 14 3-ssec. Tim records of Spillane and Cameron will be forwarded to the New Zealand council to ho confirmed.
