Brutal Attack on Old Couple HUSBAND KILLED (Rec. December 14, 7.35 p.m.) Sydney, December 14. Two men bound and gagged Alexander Barry, aged seventy-live, at his home at Paddington and battered nis head fatally. Barry’s wife rushed to his aid and was brutally attacked, receiving Injuries which are expected to be fatal. Robbery is supposed to have been the object of the murderers, as it was reported that Barry was fairly well-to-do and kept a large sum of money in the house where he lived for many years because he feared to deal with the banks.
