DANCE RECITAL
a Pupils’ Demonstration The pupils of Miss Marjorie Seed gave a dancing demonstration-at the Ngaio Town Hall on Saturday afternoon. A very finished performance was given by Lesley Davis in “The Huntsman.” Vurla Burris, Vivienne Hooper, and Zoe Card were three dainty skaters, and an operatic trio by Dorothy Jones, Lorna and Elaine McGregor was well performed. Vivienne Hooper was a sea nymph, and Zoe Card a real toy soldier. Groups of exercises were given by the whole class, who combined in a “dance mime,” with a hurdy-gurdy man and monkey. A toe dance and scarf dance were given by Miss Seed. Supporting items by the pupils of Mrs. Hico Hills and pongs by Mrs. Morrish completed the programme. . ’
The proceeds were in aid of the Ngaio Free Kindergarten.
