DEAF AND DUMB 55T5DDINGS. Two deaf and dumb couples were married at Eltham and Birchington, England, on September 19. There was an archway of picks and shovels, held by the bridegroom’s coal wharf' workmates, at St;- Luke’s, Eltham, when the wedding took place of Mr. Walker Staples and Miss Gertie Wade, both of whom arc deaf and dumb. . Miss Daisy Mathews and Mr. y?antea Sargent, both of whom are deaf and dumb, were married by the Rev. E. Tubbs, of Canterbury, chaplain to the Deaf and Dumb Association at Birchington.
