Pahiatua Branch Meeting ■ ■■■’■■ '■ ' ' ’ ■ '-■■■ •'/• '. ■ ■■• ~ ■ ■ '■ ■■. The meeting of the Pahiatua Women's Institute, which was held recently, was well attended. In her opening remarks the president, Mrs. H. Paterson, referred to the local floral emblem of this .institute, the marigold, and quoted a short poem, entitled’.’Marigolds.” Musical items were given by Mrs. Sargent and Mijs E. Sowry, accompanied by Miss Day, arid' a parly, consisting of Mrs. T. Ebbett, Misses Sargent, Groves, Day, Sowry, and Clark, gave an amusing dialogue. , ■ Mrs. Cornford dispensed afternoon tea and the meeting closed with the National Anthem. .< < . ■
